ABOUT US
West Art is a multi-purpose, ever-evolving community and cultural space housed within a historic church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Born from a fence-line conversation between two neighbors— Rufus & Josh, the project began with a simple idea: what if the building that once brought people together on Sundays could bring them together every day? Today, West Art houses an expanding constellation of creative and social experiences — part coffee bar, part concert hall, part community experiment. Our programming spans live music, workshops, exhibitions, film screenings, kids’ clubs, talks, yoga, and more. The space is animated by a network of artists, baristas, musicians, parents, designers, and neighbors who together bring this world to life.

We're here to answer all your questions
West Art is fully accessible, we have a ramp to our main blue doors and an elevator to all floors. For any specific requirements please get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate your specific needs in any way we can.
The Art Bar is open 7 days a week, 7am-10pm, we are open for both shows and private events!
While we do not have a designated parking lot on site, there is usually plenty of free street parking around neighboring Buchanan Park. West Art is in a residential neighborhood, and it’s important for us to be a good neighbor to our fantastically supportive community. We always encourage walking, biking and carpooling when possible! When parking, try to use the Buchanan Park side of the street rather than taking the spaces in front of houses.
All our spaces are available for private rentals, birthday parties, weddings, baby showers and anything else within the law ! Please get in touch using the Rentals Form for pricing or to arrange a tour. You can see pictures of the rooms available in the Spaces section.
